If you want to get involved but not sure what to do, there are a number of ways you can help. Reading Youth Hockey is a 100% volunteer organization that is always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of this family organization and volunteering your time for our young hockey players consider contacting .

Open Positions

Position Term Description
Bantam Director 2 years

Manage a specific division within RYH which includes:

  • Oversee the registration of players
  • Work with tryout evaluators and administer team placement
  • Identify and nominate coaches
  • Coordinate team enrollment in respective league

 

Commitment – Med to High.  Most work is done leading up to the season and then at the end of the season(tryouts), depending on if issues occur during the season.

 

Fundraising Director 2 years

Responsible for raising funds to benefit RYH which includes:

  • Planning and execution of fundraising events
  • Management of sponsorships
  • Work with board to determine fundraising goal based on needs of the organization

Commitment – Med to High.  Work is done throughout the year.

Communications Director 2 years
The Director of Communication shall be responsible for maintaining an open communication between Reading Youth Hockey and its members. The Director of Communication shall be responsible for the following duties:
  • Maintain online communication system and serve as web master
  • Develop and coordinate monthly newsletters with RYH President and level directors 
  • Works closely with the entire Executive Board of Directors and their communication needs throughout the season

Commitment – High.  

Registrar 2 years

Principal duties are to manage the player registrations.

  • Create and maintain an active membership list
  • Create and manage updates for team rosters
  • Manage program online registration process
  • Ensure that registration and team structure requirements adhere to leagues, District and USA Hockey requirements

Commitment – Med to High.  Most work is done leading up to the season and then at the end of the season (tryouts).
